Christine Lunceford

Bachelor of Music, Piano Performance

As a teacher, Christine believes in honoring each student’s individual interests and learning style while together keeping our sights set on a strong foundation in musical literacy, fluency and technique.

Since 1996, Christine has maintained a private piano studio in the Oak Hill/Dripping Springs area, and has been active as a piano accompanist. Prior to that, she taught privately in Houston and San Francisco. Her B.A. in Music is from the University of Rochester/Eastman School of Music, and she has done post baccalaureate study with teachers from the San Francisco Conservatory.  Christine’s musical background includes teaching early childhood music (MusicGarten), teaching music theory (Im-pulse International Eurythmy Academy), studying jazz and improvisation (including a past life as a keyboardist in a touring Top 40 band).  For seven years, Christine was a piano accompanist at the Austin Waldorf School and High School. She is a specialist  in rehearsing and performing music for Eurythmy, a form of movement art.  In this setting, she has performed and/or toured with troupes in the United States and in South Africa
