Joseph Palmer began studying classical guitar at the age of 15 in his hometown of Rockwall, Texas. He began his formal studies in 2005 under Dr. Andrew Zohn at Columbus State University in Georgia, where he also worked part-time as a teacher for the music conservatory for students of all ages. Joseph has had the opportunity to perform in numerous master classes for world class guitarists such as David Russel, Manuel Barrueco, and Ricardo Gallen. In 2008, he was awarded First Prize in the Classical Minds Guitar Competition in Houston, Texas, and First Prize in the Mississippi Guitar Festival and Competition in Meridian, Mississippi. Joseph is currently working on his Master’s degree at University of Texas in Austin under world renown teacher and performer Adam Holzman
