A native of Yunnan, China, Pangji Du begun her music path as a professional pianist at Afflicted Middle School of Sichuan Conservatory of Music, Chengdu, China. Completing her Bachelor’s Degree of Music at San Francisco Conservatory of Music. Currently, she is working on her Master’s Degree at the University of Texas at Austin. As a young pianist, she has rich experience on piano performance. In 2008, she was one of performer in Spring Festival Recital in her hometown, Yunnan. Later in 2010, she performed in piano department recital at Sichuan Conservatory of Music. She also played at San Francisco Conservatory of Music in piano Duo&Duet concert in 2013 and Liszt Works Recital in 2014. In 2015, she had a piano recital at San Francisco Conservatory of Music. As a young teacher, Pangji taught in Piano Project ,which is directed by famous pedagogue Professor Gilmson at the University of Texas at Austin. Pangji believes that every student has unique needs and abilities, therefore she adjusts her teaching approach to address those needs and maximize their potential. she thinks that all children are capable of learning music and that teaching includes a never-ending journey of discovery to find out what enables them to be successful learners.
