Home/Public Concert Checklist
- Talk to your teacher about the proper Musical Journey test
- Take the test and complete all the retakes
- Finalize the program for the concert and make practice plans with your teacher
- Check your teacher’s availability and set up a date, time, and place for the concert
- Make fliers and invite your guests
- Make a concert program* (ask your teacher to show you an example if needed)
- Do a dress rehearsal with your teacher (preferably at the place where the concert is going to be held)
- Get a good rest the night before and ready to shine at the performance
*Things to include in the program:
- Your (and your collaborator’s if it’s a chamber concert) name and instrument
- Date, time, and location of the concert
- List of the pieces you’re going to perform
