Faith LiuDoctor of Musical Arts, Piano PerformanceTaiwanese-born pianist Faith Liu leads a diverse musical life as a noted performer, concert presenter, and educator. In recent seasons, she has performed as a recitalist and chamber musician at Kopleff Recital Hall in Atlanta, Georgia, Emory Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Georgia, Richton United Methodist Church in Richton, Mississippi, the National Concert Hall in Taichung, Taiwan, and various other venues in Taichung, Taiwan. She has also participated in the Steinway Society Young Artists Series and performed at Summit Piano Performing Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Ms. Liu was a prize winner of the Georgia State University Piano Competition in 2020.
Ms. Liu performs with various ensembles and enjoys solo piano concerts. Her recent performances include a series of Piano Outreach Concerts for Children, which were held in Taichung City, Taiwan, and Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Furthermore, she joined the Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society in 2017. Ms. Liu received her Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in Piano Performance from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, where she studied with Dr. Gloria Chien and Dr. Cahill Smith. Additionally, she earned a Master of Music in Piano Pedagogy and an Artist Diploma from Georgia State University under the guidance of concert pianist Dr. Raffi Besalyan. Ms. Liu completed her Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance at the University of Southern Mississippi, where she studied under Dr. Elizabeth Moak. Ms. Liu’s most recent research focuses on Community Outreach: A Piano Concert Designed for Children. |
