Suri K.

"Suri is a ray of sunshine, and she is so deserving of being a student of the month! She arrives at each lesson with a smile on her face and a glowing positive attitude. She is extremely hardworking and driven, and she practices her assignments with thoughtfulness and focus. One of Suri's strengths is her close attention to detail; she is so observant! She has developed a strong sense of rhythm through counting out loud. She is very quick to learn and immediately applies my feedback during lessons. She brings such joy to every lesson. I am so happy to be a part of her musical path!" — Dr. Maddie

Jake S.

"I am nominating Jake for April's student of the month because it is obvious to me in every lesson that Jake is focused on making great music and improving his technical abilities. He is always prepared and makes significant progress week to week, carefully practicing the exercises and assignments with calm, purposeful diligence. Jake is a 6th-grader at Kealing MS where he is a member of the Advanced Guitar Ensemble. In the fall, Jake and his sister Eleanor worked together to prepare a challenging piece for the last friendship concert. I was so impressed with how they both rose to the challenge and worked together as a team. Way to go Jake! I can't wait to see what you accomplish next!" — Mr. Byron
