Rebecca HampleBachelor of Italian Culture and LanguageRebecca Hample has been teaching voice for over 25 years, and has taught and sung all over the world. She has lived and studied in Austin, SLC, NYC, and Italy.
Rebecca has worked as a Singing Voice Specialist in conjunction with the University of Utah Voice Disorder Clinic; is a Certified Movement Specialist from the Expressive Movement Institute in New York City; has studied in the Dalcroze Teacher Training Program at the Lucy Moses School of Music, the Longy School of Music, Carnegie Mellon University, and the University of Texas at San Antonio; is a Certified Eurythmics Educator with American Eurythmics Association; was an inaugural participant in the Voice Teacher Program at Opera Works, in Los Angeles, CA; has participated in the Teacher Training Program at both Tanner Dance and the Utah Opera in Salt Lake City, UT. Rebecca is a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, the Dalcroze Society of America, the American Eurhythmics Society, TMEA, and is a Board Member and Teaching Director of the Austin International Folk Dancers. Rebecca has been a guest judge for National Association of Teachers of Singing, Classical Singer National Voice Competition, and Utah Symphony Salute to Youth Concert. She has taught voice, music, movement and dance at Lucy Moses School of Music, Mannes School of Music, University of Utah Opera Workshop, University of Utah Voice Disorders Clinic; Weber State University School of Music, Salt Lake Community College, Utah Youth Theater, the Austin Waldorf School, the Austin International Folk Dancers, the Dripping Springs Independent School District; and many private voice studios and schools in Texas, Utah, California and New York. Rebecca has performed mainstage roles and solos with Utah Opera, Utah Symphony, Utah Musical Theater, the Grand Theater, Opus Chamber Orchestra, Utopia Early Music in Salt Lake City, the MOCCA & Guachoya Cultural Arts Center in Arkansas, the Salt Lake Symphony, Chorus Imagine!, the Canyonlands New Music Ensemble, the New American Symphony, the Egyptian Theater Company, as well as solo vocal recitals in Salt Lake City, New York City, and Italy. She was the Assistant Director and Choreographer in Dreaming Blue by Libby Larsen as part of the Kennedy Center Imagination Celebration and the 2002 Winter Olympics. She is also a member of the Csárdás Hungarian Dancers. Rebecca works with each student as unique individuals to build a strong foundational vocal technique, which enables singing with a free and healthy voice in any style of music. She is passionate about pedagogical philosophy, kinesiology and biomechanics. When she is not teaching, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her family, studying languages and dancing. |
