Alisa Pock is a vocal artist specializing in classical repertoire. Her educational background for music started in Houston Texas. Now she resides in the Austin area where she continues to be involved in projects that range from opera productions to recitals.
Miss Pock is completing her bachelor'sdegree in Vocal Performance with a minor in Opera at Texas State University in the Spring of 2022. She uses this to help young musicians develop healthy vocal techniques and artistry through many styles of singing such as classical, musical theater, and jazz. Alisa started her journey as a voice teacher with the Kids in a New Groove Program (Austin) in 2019 and taught privately as well. Alisa placed as a finalist in at the South Texas National Association of Teachers singing Competition in Spring 2018. She has also covered the notable role of Paminafrom Mozart’sDie Zauberflötewith Texas State University Opera Theater in Spring of 2019. She role studied the role of Cleopatra from G.F. Handel’s Giulio Cesare in the fall months of 2018 to Spring 2019. She is an active member is Sigma Alpha Iota Fraternity. And she is alumnae for Delta Gamma Fraternity. Alisa has extended education in the languages of English, Italian, and French.Also, she has training in stage combat, and stagecraft and lighting field. She approaches teaching with the focus of bringing fun to music and creating a positive environment where a student feels comfortable and excited to learn. She describes her teaching style as supportive, patient, highly adaptable, and vibrant. Her aim is to maintain positivity when teaching because students respond best with optimism and encouragement. She strives to make sure that the student has fun during a lesson since music is intended to be enjoyed. |
