An accomplished guitarist with a Master of Music degree from Roosevelt University where he studied with world-renowned classical guitarist Denis Azabagić, and a Bachelor of Music obtained from Shenandoah University where he studied in the studio of Dr. Glenn Caluda and privately with Berta Rojas. He has performed in master classes held by such players as Jason Vieaux, Ricardo Cobo, David Starobin, Andrew Zohn, Ronn McFarlane, and David Leisner. He has also received training at the first New York Guitar Seminar at Mannes, where he studied under Laura Oltman, Michael Newman and Frederick Hand. He obtained his Suzuki Book I certification with Andrew Canon. His performing experiences include television events, festivals, master classes, concert series and private events. During the past few years, Mr. Crites was director of the guitar department at Talent Education Suzuki School in Norwalk, CT and founded the Connecticut Young Artist Guitar Festival. |
