Ernesto GarzaBachelor of Music, Violin Performance
Originally from Rio Grande Valley, Ernesto Garza began studying violin in the school orchestra programs at age 11. He continued his studies at Texas State University in San Marcos under Lynn F. Ledbetter earning his BM in violin performance. Ernesto has performed overseas at the Interharmony Music Festival in Germany and at the Plovdiv Academy of Music in Bulgaria. He continues to actively perform in the San Marcos Austin area in chamber ensembles and in bands.
He began his teaching for the Texas State String Project in 2012 as a lesson teacher and served as violin sectional coach for the SMART Orchestra for 5 seasons. Before moving to Austin in 2018, Ernesto worked for Comal Independent School District teaching after-school violin classes at several elementary and middle schools and taught private violin lessons for Music and Arts in the New Braunfels/San Antonio area maintaining an active studio. |
