Han-Sae JangDoctor of Musical Arts Candidate, Piano PerformanceSouth Korean pianist Han-Sae Jang went to England to study at the Purcell Specialist Music school in London where he was awarded the full scholarship. He went further to study Bachelor of Music at the Royal College of Music in London, where he studied with Prof. Niel Immelman with scholarship supports by Polani Award and a Lucy Ann Jones Award, and Master of Music at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, where he studied with Prof. Deniz Gelenbe and Prof. Gabriele Baldocci. He was awarded Trinity Laban scholar and Alfred Kitchin scholar at the postgraduate institution. Currently, he is pursuing a doctoral program with Prof. Gregory Allen at the University of Texas at Austin.
Han-Sae is an active performer, giving regular recitals throughout the UK in venues such as the Wigmore Hall, Southbank Centre Purcell room, Steinway Hall, Southwark Cathedral, and local churches. He is also keen in chamber music with particular interest in piano-vocal duet repertoire. |
