Xinyue "Kelly" Lin

Master of Music, Piano Performance

Kelly(Xinyue) Lin is from Beijing, China. She discovered her interest in music at the age of
four. She started learning accordion at the age of five and piano at the age of eight. She has a solid musical foundation and over twenty years of keyboard experience. She has a strong
interest in collaborative piano performance and a passion for piano teaching.

She received her bachelor’s degree in music education from Capital Normal University in
Beijing, China, and her master’s degree in piano and piano performance certificate from
Texas State University. Her approachable, patient, and creative teaching style has always been a favorite among her students.

Outside of work, she enjoys watching anime and singing anime songs. In high school, she
was the lead singer and keyboardist of an anime band with her best friends, which performed in major cities.

She is fluent in two languages: English and Mandarin.
