Skye McManusDirector of Musicianship Studies
Master of Music, Voice, Piano Performance and Theory Skye C McManus has taught voice, piano, musicianship, and summer camp at Orpheus Academy of Music for the last 10 years. Her passion is integrating the principles of the Kodály and Dalcroze methodologies into all of her teaching. Especially active in the development of the musicianship curriculum, she was one of the authors of the Orpheus method book, Adventures Through Sound. An Indiana native, she received a BME and Certificate of Piano Pedagogy from Indiana State University. Additionally she has a MM in Voice Performance from Loyola University New Orleans, a Texas Teacher’s License for EC-12th grade music, and Certifications in both Kodály and Eurhythmics (American Eurhythmics Society). When not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her daughter and husband, and training in mixed martial arts. |
