Skye McManusDirector of Musicianship Studies
Master of Music, Voice, Piano Performance and Theory Skye C McManus serves as the director of both musicianship and voice, and has taught voice, piano, musicianship, and summer camp at Orpheus Academy of Music since 2008. Her passion is integrating the principles of the Kodály and Dalcroze methodologies into all of her teaching. Especially active in the development of the musicianship curriculum, she is a co-author of the Orpheus method series, Adventures Through Sound. An Indiana native, she received a BME and Certificate of Piano Pedagogy from Indiana State University. She has a MM in Voice Performance from Loyola University New Orleans, a Texas Teacher’s License for EC-12th grade music, and certifications in Eurhythmics and Kodály, as well as a Master Teaching Artist with The American Eurhythmics Society. Professionally, she is an active member of the American Eurhythmics Society, and currently serves as the AES President. In her free time, she enjoys learning French and spending time with her daughter and husband. |
