Our Different Music Programs
All music programs at Orpheus Academy of Music are designed to guide students toward reaching their highest musical potential. Our programs help students develop a deep love of music by offering a balanced approach of fun musical activities and excellent instruction from some of the finest musicians from around the globe. The diversity of programs at Orpheus Academy ensures that you will find something that is right for any age and all musical goals.
Young Musicians Programs
Give your child all they need to succeed on their favorite instrument! Students receive a complete music education through a combination of private instrumental lessons and group musicianship classes. The private lessons with our exceptional faculty cover technique, interpretation and repertoire while the musicianship classes use fun, interactive games to teach theory, ear-training, sight-singing, performance and more.
Young Adults & Adults Program
Music for Adults and Young Adults
Adults and young adults receive a 45-minute or one-hour private lesson each week with one of our highly trained instructors on Piano, Guitar, Voice, Violin or Voice. Lessons will cover technique, musicianship, theory, ear-training and repertoire in a fun and nurturing environment. Students are assisted in achieving their highest possible musical aspirations, whether this is to play at home for friends or in Carnegie Hall for thousands.
Chamber Music Program
One of the joys of learning to sing or play an instrument is to come together with others to make music. Through our chamber music program, students of all ages may form duos, trios, quartets or quintets and benefit from the guidance of an experienced, professional musician. Our library of chamber music has something for all levels and combinations of instruments.
Interview and Registration Process
At Orpheus we believe that music is for everyone. However, not every family is right for every educational environment. Finding the right environment that will work for your family can make the difference between a lifetime of positive musical experiences and a short time to failure. That is why we take the time to carefully interview each student and family before accepting them to Orpheus. To sign up for a free 15-minute interview with one of our teachers, please call the front desk at (512) 231-8999.
