Wan-Hsuan (Joyce) WuDoctor of Musical Arts, Piano PerformanceNative of Taipei, Taiwan, Dr. Wu started her formal musical training at age 5. After graduating from Soochow University in Taiwan, she came to the United States earning both Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Piano Performance from The University of Texas at Austin under the auspices of celebrated pianist Nancy Garrett.
Dr. Wu is an active performer based in Austin, Texas. She has appeared on concert stages in Taiwan, Japan, Canada, USA, and Europe as both solo and collaborative pianist. She enjoys exploring wide range of repertoire and performed with chamber groups such as Trio Thallasea and Ensemble Cameranze. Her performances were featured on KMFA radio station. Dr. Wu is currently teaching at Orpheus Academy of Music. When not teaching and performing, Joyce volunteers at KMFA and works as a gallery teacher at the Blanton Museum of Art at UT-Austin. |
