Dear Musicianship 3 Students, Here is our first practice video for 2015! As I say in the video, reading and writing triplets is pretty easy to understand - It's just 3 even sounds on a beat. However, performing them smoothly is a whole different matter. Musicians of the highest order find switching between 2 even sounds (eighth notes) and 3 even sounds (triplets) extremely challenging, which is why we practice this so much in class. Please take a moment to watch this video after your class this week and then write the answers on a blank sheet of paper to turn in next week. If you did not already receive your part for ensemble, I have attached a copy of Greensleeves. Violinists may play the melody, Guitarists should learn to play the melody or the chords and Pianists should learn both melody and the piano part. Greensleeves Trio Comments are closed.
